Waiting Time

The word "wait" is the worst time in the busy world like now. WAIT is something unpopular in the instant era. 

In the service area, if our customer have to wait for their turn, we will provide with the best service so they will enjoy the waiting time. Good musics, delicious snacks, comfortable couches, nice staffs, wifi connections, interesting magazines, movies, etc. 

But what happened in God's waiting room ?

I learn today, in order to build our faiths, God will give us a big dream, then He will urge us to make a decision, but then.... He will allow a delay too. 

Rick Warren said, the delay time will mature us and prepare us for what is to come. The truth is we will have difficulties as we are pursuing our God-given dream. This is not because He does not care about you. It is one of the ways He pushes you toward the deep end of faith.

What a super time, isn't it ? Waiting is always boring. If we can, we will do in our ways. 

I have the shocking time nowadays. I have to face the examination, before I am ready for that. 

Waiting is about not ready. 

I feel that I am not ready for the examination, so I wish I can delay the exam. But may be, my professor has another point of view, that this is the perfect time to push me to upgrade myself. 

I have to teach my daughter the word "wait" too. If she had a wish list, then she has to wait my assistance to reach that. Sometimes it is not about I have the time for that or not. Sometimes I delay, just because I want her to learn about "waiting".

Still, I don't like to wait. But now I have different ways to think about the "waiting time". 

Moses had 40 years of Waiting Period in the dessert. It was not a pleasant room. He had to face thousands of complainers. But God allowed that. Just to make Moses had stronger character and faith, and the Israelites too. 

So, if now, I have to be in "waiting period" to reach my dream, it means God still want to mature me. Just ask Him for more strength and faith.
