When God Calls

I read the chapter when Moses died and God called Joshua to serve Him (Joshua 1).

I was amazed with the way God talked to Joshua. It was so personal, touching heart, encouraging ways from God, that make Joshua rose, stood in brave and strengh.

God gave His promise to Joshua :
1. "I will give you every place whre you set your foot, as I promised Moses"
2. "No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life."
3. "I will never leave you nor forsake you"
4. " Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right of to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go"

All wonderful promises ! When God calls, He doesn't call without giving His encouragement.

The conditions that Joshua had to do to receive all God's promises are :
1. Accept God's calling
2. Set his foot to cross the Jordan River into the land of promise.
3. Be a leader of Israelites.
4. Keep the Book of the Law, meditate on it day and night.
5. Set his heart, to be strong and courageous.

See ? God's promises are wonderful, but we have to take our part in His calling. It is not always easy, trust me, sometimes very devastating and frustating, but God has given His promise that He never leave you nor forsake you.

To be a leader like Joshua, he was processed by being Moses' servant for years. Be a leader is being a servant to others, with God's authority to bring good to others.

I bow down in amazing heart, that all of the things I have gone through, God always with me. Whether I was loyal or not, God always stick and faithful.

There is none like You, God. To God be the glory.
